- Size: What size do you need? What is the height, width, and depth? The dimensions printed on a filter can be confusing. For example a 1” filter depth can be about 7/8” or ¾”; a 4” depth can be 3¾” to 4½”. Just carefully measure what you have and bring it to us; we’ll create a new custom filter to those exact dimensions. If you’re going to send us the measurements, measure the existing filter by standing it with the pleats perpendicular to the floor, then measure the height and width. For an even more accurate measurement, measure the filter track. That way if you have the wrong sized filter, you won’t be perpetuating the mistake.
- Filter Material: Next, you’ll need to choose the air filter material. Air filters can be created in a variety of efficiencies, and are made of various materials.
